Adventure 2006
Part 3
From Wyoming to Idaho

These strange mounds (above) in Wyoming remind me of  ancient pyramids.

There are many oil wells in Wyoming and all kinds of activity building underground
pipelines to move it.

Lot's of huge coal pits and trainloads constantly on the move to refineries and power companies. We had hoped to go on a tour through one of the big mines, but couldn't make time wise connections.

We had breakfast at the restaurant at Plains where the Sportsmen hang out.
Picked up some hunting information for Tim.

...And noted a couple of mounted Jackalopes on the wall.

While traveling it was fun to bring these far away horseback riders into focus. Notice how
beautiful the colors at this time of the year.

Thompson Falls, Montana. Mel was hauling here in 1975.

Interesting rock formations.

Butte Montana ahead...

And the great mining pit ahead.

Kathy and Clint's home at Bonner's Ferry, Idaho.

Having breakfast with their breakfast group at the "Chic N Chop" restaurant.

Clint and Kathy. After breakfast they took us on the grand tour of their beautiful local park. We are so glad we had such a nice visit with them. Clint has since passed away. At our age...every day is to be cherished. Thanks to Margie and Tim's idea to get the new RV, we extended our trip to visit everyone on our way home.

Time to say goodbye, and head for Oregon.
