Cancer Can Be Controlled

By Ray Dallugge

Please publish this letter....Yes I know it's on the same old subject "cancer." Wait please, don't throw it away, I'll try to be brief. Now in spite of the Federal Food and Drug Administration, and Donald Kennedy its head, and in spite of the American Medical Association, and the American Cancer Society....there is sufficient proof and evidence to alert all people to the fact that cancer can be controlled. This control is nothing more than proper nutrition, or a concentrate of certain essential food elements, sometimes not present in sufficient amounts in western modern man's diet. This concentrated element is used in Germany, Russia, England, Italy, Switzerland, Spain, Japan, Mexico, Israel and about 10 other countries, for the control of cancer, not a cure.

Now you can believe it or not, but it is a fact that cancer is big business in the United States of America, and to wipe it out overnight by a simple food element derived from bitter almonds, or the seeds of other trees would be disastrous to a lot of people. Yes, I know it sounds very calloused, but as the saying goes, "May God strike me dead if what I'm saying is not true." Once again I'll repeat myself...cancer is a natural function of pregnancy, and since it is a natural body function, the pre-embryonic cancer cells have a protective coating until the proper time when they (cancer cells) are destroyed by the white blood cells. Cancer outside of pregnancy, the cancer we are concerned with, can be controlled with sufficient amounts of that essential food element and proper nutrition.

I feel so helpless in this battle against the bureaucracy, but believe me if we don't counter attack, especially when at the present time in all the Post Offices in the United States a warning is posted against the use of this food element. This warning is just plain lies. Cancer can be controlled right now, and wiped out. Please don't be complacent. Please read between the lines and you will know why they are so against this food element. (Jan. 3, 1978)

Because of my mother's interest in natural healing, and my uncle and cousin being medical doctors, I have always been interested in what was happening in the healing professions. Naturally, I found Ray Dellugge's experience fascinating. Eventually, many people who had been diagnosed, treated for cancer, and eventually told nothing more could be done to help them refused to accept that they would just have to go home and die. They'd sought cancer treatment with alternative doctors in other countries, and were healed. Now, they were gathering together seeking legislation to allow such treatments in California. I attended some of these meetings and listened to the testimonies of many people. Eventually a hearing was held at the State legislature to decide its fate. The room was packed with hundreds of people who, after undergoing all the standard medical treatments for cancer, were told there was nothing more to do for them. All had been healed by alternative treatments. Also attending were the American Medical Association (AMA) and Drug lobbies.  Money and power versus compassion for suffering human beings.

I'll never forget what happened next. Democrat Legislature whip Leo McCarthy took the podium and told the audience that California was a prestigious state and to allow alternative cancer treatment for dying people would set a bad precedence. He didn't listen to the testimonies of hundreds of terminally ill cancer patients who had been healed. Later, some of us met in a legislator's office to discuss what happened. He told us that McCarthy had threatened  junior members with political obscurity if they voted for alternative medical treatments. I couldn't help but think that this was a terrible sin against humanity by those who claim to be the ones who care. Now some will excuse Leo McCarthy's behavior and argue that he was saving people from medical quackery. Yes, there is a need for standards. But there is no excuse for him not listening to those who proved the truth by having gone through it. I thought about how Ray put it, "May God strike me dead if what I'm saying is not true." To defend their position, the standard medical care doctors later reported that those who claimed to have been healed by alternative treatment had been wrongfully diagnosed  by the alternative doctors. However,  the truth is that they were the ones who originally diagnosed and treated the cancer patients, and told them to go home and die. And later....a news release stated that researchers used Laetrile to treat a dog and it died. They didn't feed the dog anything and overdosed it with the drug to prove their case against alternative care. (When you read Ray's  Bone to Pick  you'll see what leading doctors in other countries said about Laetrile.) Most of us familiar with standard chemotherapy treatments know how deadly it can be. This country's medical organization  obviously rejects the Hippocratic Oath to use all means to heal the sick that they claim to uphold. Before long they had the FDA raiding alternative doctor's clinics, ripping tubes off the arms of cancer patients undergoing Laetrile treatment, and putting the doctor's in jail.

When I was a little girl my mother subscribed to Dr. Shelton's Hygienic Review. He operated a clinic that healed people who had terrible health problems. At that time, doctor's like him said that smoking cigarettes was bad for your health, whereas AMA  scoffed at the idea. It took them at least 25 years to change their mind. They also warred against chiropractors and health food stores....using the Federal Drug Agency to back up their malicious claims. What tickles me most is that with the passage of time, masses of people have discovered how to help themselves, so now (because of demand) we can find all kinds of healing vitamins and herbs even in grocery stores. Now California is going through some tough financial times. I can't help but think of Leo McCarthy's words that this state was too important to set a bad example by making it easier for sick and dying people to get well. Perhaps it's a valuable lesson that what goes around comes around.
