Our Golden Wedding Anniversary

When you see something in person there are no frames around your eyes. You are the camera and a camera can't capture what your eyes can view. Yesterday I viewed a thing of beauty, my Golden Wedding Anniversary celebration. Janey and I have been married 50 years and our children gave us a wonderful banquet to celebrate this event.
The key ingredients were to locate a suitable location to hold the celebration, gather about 80 of your close friends and family to participate in the festivities and you must have good food and drink to enjoy. Add to this a nice prayer, toast, and suitable roast of the lucky couple accompanied by a slide show of their past lives up to the present time with good music in the background and you have a formula for a good time. This in fact is what our children provided for Janey and me at the Casa Garden restaurant and meeting center in Sacramento last Sunday.The Sacramento Children’s Home has provided thousands of children with shelter, love, care and education for 138 years. The community has a long history of support for its children and the mission of the Home. Together, we can continue to expand our circle of services—spread the branches of the SCH tree—to cover more children and help more families become strong and successful and it is located next to the restaurant .
We intend to celebrate our 100th anniversary in this same location. Maybe you can join us.........Ken
