It's Friday morning, June 18, 2004. We stopped by the Nevada County Airport to see grandson Doug take his flying lesson.

He's doing his check points, to make sure everything's okay before they take off.

Before long they taxi up to the end of the runway where they turn around, and wait for clearance to take off.

Here they come....

Doug's fifteen and looking forward to his solo flight next year. He really enjoys it. The guys at the airport say there aren't enough young men learning to fly and hope he'll stick with it. Thumbs up to that...
