Grammy's new folly flops!

Okay, so it's not motorcycle mamma; it's the above. I graduated from a bicycle, mini-motorcycle, and  lawnmower to the scooter. So far so good, but this is a little tricky. I'll be working on perfecting my new found folly...maybe.

Maybe, because we were laughing while reading the owner's manual that came with this beautiful China-manufactured scooter. Whoever wrote it had a very difficult time explaining everything in English. It was entertaining but eventually we got the message..and it wasn't as funny. Problems arose concerning the automatic starter and battery. It had a manual kick start, but you had to raise it up on the kick stand to kick start it. Pretty hard for an ol' gal to do. Even with a new battery, or charged one...the automatic starter wasn't dependable. When it ran it was fun to ride. So with what experience I've had with batteries...I think people are making a big mistake trading off fossil fuel engines for those powered by battery. Especially during cold weather. At this stage of the game...they're undependable. Sooo...we sold the new scooter to someone who might enjoy the working experience.

Meanwhile, back to some "wheels"  that kept on going...

Like haulin seven little grand-kids in the trailer behind my mower during October, 1990.

Hahaha....Bet you thought I couldn't count.

If one doesn't work...try two.

A few years of climbing trees etc...have gone by and they're gettin' bigger and learning to drive.

Katie, Lacie, Jen at the wheel, and Becca all most ready to go.

Here they come... Katie, Becca and Lacie with Jen at the wheel.

...and there they go!
