Happy 84th Birthday Dear Papa...

(Sunday & Tuesday August 21-23)

According to tradition, Papa huffs and puffs and blows 'em all out!

Good thing there weren't 84 candles on it. The fire dept might have showed up.

But those of us who are here for the celebration enjoyed a wonderful dinner prepared by many hands. By request Cheryl brought her special potato salad, I threw together my spectacular beans, and Brent barbequed the most delicious hamburgers I've ever tasted. Topping it all off is Deanna's marvelous cake and ice cream.

Grammy, Papa Mel, Kirk, Mason, Deanna, Margie, Amanda, Sue, Areana, Timmy and Brent.

Maggie's got her eye on what's inside...Yum.

One good laugh leads to another....

...Until

Hold it! I refuse to be photographed by amateurs...

According to Guy and Vicky's card, it looked like the Birthday Fairy might not make it to our place this year? Yowza! Good excuse to celebrate earlier on Sunday? Stay tuned there's more to come later on Tuesday.

Hmm...Guy's trying to figure that one out.

Areana and Timmy have something special to tell us...but it'll have to wait until later. For now, Papa's Sunday 84th celebration with all our dear ones has been delightful as always. Thank you all so much for everything.

And Tuesday, it's Happy Birthday Lisa and Mel!

Left to right...Lisa, Kathy, Ann, Bradley, Bonnie, Megan, Mel, Cheryl, Katie and Sue

Bonner's Ferry Kathy was visiting this week, so we all got together for a steak and stuffed salmon dinner and special strawberry-rhubarb pie Cheryl made in honor of Lisa and Mel's birthdays.

A hug for Papa.

His favorite pie alamode.

This special evening with more dear family has been a lot of fun. So nice to spend time with my wonderful sister Kathy. Happy Birthday Lisa and Papa! We  wish you both many more fun occasions, and the best of everything life has to offer. That goes for everybody.
