Fiddlin' Around
Our little music ensemble meets and practices every week. We play pop, dance, classic and (occasional) fiddle music at care homes, weddings, special occasions and churches.
From left to right...Carl, Carmen, Lilly, Lorna and Bob.
Carl's on the cello, Carmen on the flute, Lorna, Bob and I play violins. Lorna and I play the same piece you're listening to. We play a duet. I play 1st, and she plays 2nd violin. The music is pretty balanced between both parts. It's Bach's Concerto for two violins, although this arrangement's for full ensemble performed by another group. Lorna's back in Alaska now so I lost one of my buddies. Regardless, we all have lots of fun fiddlin' around.
