he Nevada County Economic Resource Council yesterday hosted a (three bus) tour of four export manufacturing locations in the western county.  Some of them are highly visible businesses and some are not so well known to many people.  The DeMartini RV Service and Sales center is one of the more visible ones, with its marquee statuesque building located at the top of the hill on Idaho Maryland Road, next to Hills Flat Lumber.  The leading sales tax producer for the county is a dealer for four top end motor coaches and RV's, Monaco, Holiday Rambler, Fleetwood and Mandolay. DeMartini's is known for customer service and value, often  buying huge lots of motor homes at one time to be able to pass on savings to customers.   The internet is their major means of advertising. Vicky Demartini, daughter of owners Tim and Margie Demartini is the web master.

“Well, one of the main things that we do that sets us apart from other RV dealers is that we have extensive pictures on our website, we take them at every single angle and they’re really big so customers can really see what it looks like. We do a lot of search engine optimizations that come up on the searches and now we’re starting to do video. We’re trying to do everything we can so that they can buy it right there from the website without even seeing it. We’ve done that.”

DeMartini says many people come to Grass Valley to pick up their newly purchased RV's and decide to come back for a vacation when they see how beautiful it is in the area.  Buyers for their RV's come from Europe, the Middle East and China as well as states around the US.
